capability. FastFact is a complete, stand-alone system, or
may be a tightly integrated component of a MES/ERP/MRP

FastFact system may be as simple as a one FastFact
Monitoring Unit (FMU) interfaced to one machine or process,
or as complex as dozens of FMUs units monitoring hundreds of
machines, connected via a wired or wireless network.

production counting; machine efficiency and utilization;
downtime detection; classification of non-production time;
scrap tallying; reject reasons; alarming; labor time and
activity; data logging; historic trending; statistical
process control; limit testing; part and lot traceability;

latest industry-standards and open systems technology to
ensure maximum flexibility, reliability, and scalability,
and low cost of ownership.
- FMUs are
extremely flexible and can monitor almost any type of
machine or process. The FMU's versatility is largely derived
from its 48 “universal smart channels”. These input or
output channels are controlled by a proprietary data
acquisition front-end, coordinated by a very sophisticated
field programmable gate array, complemented by a powerful
Pentium class processor. Each channel can assume any of over
30 different roles, ranging from analog inputs (voltage,
current, resistance) to digital outputs. A single FMU can
monitor from one to 48 machines or processes. FMUs units
operate under Microsoft's Windows XP Embedded operating
system.

can be retrieved by job, shift, and many other time periods.
